By the way, keep in mind you’re going to pay a ton of taxes next year on what you just sold – like 15% of the gain you made. Might want to do a lot of extra withholding on your next couple of paychecks or else you might have a huge tax bill in April – and if you owe more than $1000 in extra taxes you will have some kind of penalty the following year like scheduled quarterly tax payments.
The beauty of this is if you know Krishna, he would have never responded to the first question with a simple yes. He would have said something along the lines of “This is what I would have done. You should set goals for yourself. and whenever you reach those goals you should sell.” But by this time Krishna knows me really well. He knows I trust his judgement and I am looking for a nice yes/no type of response and he gladly obliged with that. And plus the little bit of extra FYI tidbit information at the end (about tax withholding), something that you would have never have thought about yourself. That’s what you would always get with Krishna, someone who has all his stuff sorted out, and someone you can completely rely on.
I tried to return the favor to him too, as he would rely on me for bollywood movies. Very often, I would get a call, “Hey Kanav, these folks are watching this so and so bollywood movie. Should I?” Too bad (unlike him), I disappointed him on more than one occasion, but he never gave up on me, and without fail would ask me for my opinion on every bollywood movie.
